Silicone Emulsifier, also known as Lauryl PEG/PPG-18/18 Methicone, DC 5200 Fluid or DC 5200 Formulation Aid, creates very light and elegant emulsions. It is a cold-processable emulsifier i.e. no heat is required to create stable emulsions.
It is used to produce water in oil or water in oil in silicone emulsions, or a co-emulsifier for oil in water emulsions. Silicone Emulsifier is designed to prepare water-in-oil emulsions with excellent stability, flexibility and aesthetic. It has Many uses in skin care products such as protective creams, cleansing lotion, night cream, sunscreen cream, baby cream, dry skin
cream and lotion, moisturizing cream, foundation, hand and body cream and lotion.
It can also be used to prepare multiple emulsions (W/O/W), water in wax emulsions and has skin conditioning properties in clear 2-in-1 shower gels.
Silicone Emulsifier delivers light hair conditioning when formulated into shampoos and can even be used in clear shampoo formulations.
